About us

Welcome to FloridaAOH.org, the official site of the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) in Florida — the oldest Irish Catholic fraternal organization in the United States. Rooted in faith, heritage, and service, the Florida AOH unites men of Irish descent and Catholic faith to preserve our rich cultural history while serving our communities throughout the Sunshine State.

Our Mission

The mission of the Ancient Order of Hibernians is to promote friendship, unity, and Christian charity among Irish Catholics. In Florida, our divisions are active in celebrating Irish heritage, supporting charitable causes, advocating for religious freedom, and fostering a sense of brotherhood among members.

Who We Are

We are a statewide organization made up of men proud of their Irish ancestry and dedicated to their Catholic faith. Our members represent a broad spectrum of professions and communities but are united by a common purpose — to honor our ancestors, serve the present, and invest in the future.

What We Do

  • Cultural Events: We organize parades, concerts, lectures, and Irish-themed festivals that celebrate the traditions of Ireland.
  • Charitable Work: We support local parishes, veterans’ causes, youth scholarships, and social justice initiatives.
  • Community Engagement: Our members are active volunteers and civic leaders across Florida, promoting goodwill and unity.
  • Religious Support: We defend and uphold the Catholic faith and support the work of the clergy and church institutions.
